This opportunity is with CME’s client, a leading insurance broker consultant dedicated to providing comprehensive insurance solutions for middle market companies. Their focus on management and professional liability insurance ensures their clients receive tailored, expert advice to navigate complex risk environments. They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Managing Director to lead their team of specialists and drive our strategic growth.
Position Overview:
As the Managing Director, you will spearhead our management and professional liability insurance division, overseeing a team of 5-10 subject matter experts. Your expertise and client-facing skills will be crucial in delivering exceptional consulting services to our middle market clients, ensuring they are well-protected against a variety of liabilities. You will play a key role in shaping the direction of our services, enhancing client relationships, and driving business development. This role involves regular client interactions and some travel to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of 5-10 management and professional liability insurance specialists.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand our management and professional liability insurance services.
Oversee the delivery of high-quality consulting services to middle market clients, ensuring their risk management needs are met.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on management and professional liability insurance matters.
Conduct client meetings, presentations, and risk assessments, both in-person and virtually.
Collaborate with other senior leaders to align divisional goals with overall company objectives.
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to ensure our services remain cutting-edge.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Drive new business opportunities and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
Travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPCU, RPLU) preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in management and professional liability insurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of managing and growing a team of insurance professionals.
In-depth knowledge of management and professional liability insurance products, policies, and market trends. (D&O, E&O, EPLI, Fiduciary Liability, Cyber Liability, Crime, etc.)
Strong analytical, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Demonstrated ability to drive business development and achieve revenue growth targets.
Willingness to travel as required to meet client and business needs.
