Acting as the primary point of communication between the customer and the project team, the Managing Director- Delivery will lead the multiple teams during the project lifecycle – from Statement of Work/SOW development, to estimation, and through the delivery of a project. The successful candidate will work with our different clients in the utilities domain (electric, water, gas, et al) having responsibility over managing multiple projects, meeting customer demands, achieving overall project timing, and meeting financial targets.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with internal and client teams to plan, develop, control, and direct the projects, while ensuring on-time delivery of products to clients
- Work across functions to meet key delivery dates and supply the highest quality business solutions to meet clients’ business needs with a target profit
- Coordinate ongoing analyses of projects and development activities to identify opportunities in cost saving, quality improvement, and process improvement
- Plan programs with multiple technical components, track budgets and timelines, and prepare/ present status reports to both client and internal management
- Identify required resources and manage changes in project scope and team staffing
- Utilize business process management (BPM) and system development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies to help clients address business challenges
- Provide technical direction and serve as the point of contact for business process reengineering and technology solutions
- Monitor and control quality of project deliverables
- Develop and present final project report to client
- Based on clients’ needs, conduct formal and informal classroom training, workshops, conferences, and seminars
- Support company sales by presenting new business solutions and services to existing customers and developing strategies to target potential new customers
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or similar technical area.
- 5-7 years of experience in program/project management within the utility industry
- Ability to manage projects and lead teams through planning and organization, decision making, problem-solving, delegating work, and developing employees
- Experience managing budgets
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong facilitator, change agent, and communicator.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to present to groups and run meetings made up of different teams and varying sizes
- Aptitude to process communication styles of clients, team members, and other stakeholders who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines and levels of experience
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office Suite software (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes within IT Service Management (ITSM)
Preferred: Experience in business process management (BPM) and/or system development life cycle (SDLC)
