OVERVIEW:

The Managing Director (MD) will lead the Electronics Activity in North America, implementing strategies to produce and deliver products efficiently. Acting as a "conductor," the MD coordinates all key functions, including sales, supply chain, purchasing, and manufacturing. This strategic role drives growth, identifies new business opportunities, and builds strong client relationships.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:

P&L Owner

  • Drive profitability and ensure the financial health of the Electronics North America Organization.
  • Increase sales and revenue, explore new market opportunities, and lead sales teams to achieve growth.
  • Manage free cash flow and assess and mitigate financial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.


Business Development & Sales Strategy

  • Define and drive the Sales Strategy in alignment with the Electronics Strategy.
  • Develop a sales strategy to grow existing accounts and attract new prospects.
  • Conducted competitive intelligence and analyzed growth opportunities and customer portfolios.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and support the sales teams.
  • Create customer forecasts and budgets.


Electronics North America Management

  • Implement an action plan to ensure operational performance.
  • Lead and report on sales, operational, and financial performance, managing risks and opportunities.
  • Identify key issues and propose necessary actions to resolve them.
  • Review and optimize the organization to meet customer and profitability expectations.
  • Enhance production performance, especially in Mexico and Grand Rapids, MI.
  • Align the management team with objectives and consolidate the team around key players


REQUIREMENTS:

General Skills

  • Team player who can build a trust-based environment and foster direct, straightforward relationships.
  • Strong leadership qualities, dynamic, proactive attitude, and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in managing diverse topics within the EMS business context.
  • Capable of proposing and defending operational or strategic decisions.
  • Autonomous with clear and transparent reporting.


Technical Skills

  • International industrial experience in North America.
  • Leadership in mass production with experience adapting industrial organization to strong growth.
  • Minimum of 10 years as MD/CEO in a mass-production industry worth $300-500 million in revenue, ideally in electronics or automotive sectors.
  • Engineering education background.
  • Business development expertise focusing on acquiring new customers and comprehensive account management.
  • Strong cash management culture.
  • Experience leading industrial projects.
