Reporting directly to CSC’s Producing Artistic Director, the Managing Director will form a strong working relationship with the CSC’s Board of Directors, inspire staff towards constant improvement and innovation, and establish the company’s place in the local, regional, and national theatre community as an organization producing both the classical canon and creating new classics. Equally adept at addressing opportunities and challenges, the Managing Director will identify and secure resources through well-developed fundraising strategies, innovate business practices, strengthen operations, and maximize potential for earned income. The Managing Director will ground their decision-making skills in a consensus-building approach with management, and value collaboration in all practices through a welcoming spirit and clear communication style.
