The Manager, Vendor Management- COE is responsible for overseeing the Vendor Management team at FDH Aero’s ("FDH") Center of Excellence (“CoE”) in Commerce, CA. This individual will work closely with the FDH’s senior leadership team and the global supply base to deliver a world-class aerospace distribution fulfillment capability to its customers, and ultimately supporting the growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction objectives for FDH.
Responsibilities
Understand and incorporate the FDH vision, goals and objectives
Drive and advance Supplier On-time Delivery (OTD), First-pass Quality (FPQ), and Supplier performance improvement plan
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve supplier performance and strengthen supplier relationship
Be a strong leader and team player as the manager of a newly established team of individual contributors
Analyze data and generate reports to identify performance gaps and drive supplier improvement
Collaborate with suppliers and support long-term supplier partnerships
Drive a continuous improvement culture and inspires the team to improve
Ability to evaluate and implement best-in-class processes, technologies, and tools
Work with senior leadership to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the success of the Supplier improvement plans
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field
3+ years of experience in a Supply Chain Management within the aerospace distribution industry
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and engage employees across multiple teams
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and develop effective solutions
Ability to work on-site (hybrid) at FDH Aero’s CoE in Commerce, CA and occasionally meet with suppliers at their facilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross functional teams, customers, vendors, and partners
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with technology ERP systems; experience with aerospace ERP systems such as Quantum, The Business Edge are a plus
Familiarity with aerospace industry quality compliance requirements, including AS9120, ASA100.
