Manager Tariff & Training

The Management of Tariff and Training position requires a strong understanding of telecommunications tariffs, rules and regulations. The role requires expertise in procedures for carrier access billing, exchange carrier relations, tariff interpretation and regulatory affairs including training.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute and conduct training on telecommunications regulations, finance, tariffs, procedures and technology to company members and their agents. Employ a variety of training delivery methods including classroom, association meetings and webcasts.

• Field tariff related inquiries from member companies on specific and unique tariff application issues. Research, counsel and provide correct tariff interpretations related to member companies' billing of regulated telecommunications services.

• Develop appropriate training packages using adult learning techniques.

• Update and inform member companies of tariff changes, rate revisions and FCC tariff interpretations in a timely manner.

• Conduct in-house tariff training for staff to educate them on company tariffs and various tariffs resources. Assist region staff with correct tariff applications in performing compliance reviews.

• Prepare and deliver oral and written information in formal and informal settings.

• Lead/moderate meetings and conferences.

• Work in teams, task forces, etc.

• Direct/coordinate work among teams/groups.

• Create/develop new ideas/approaches.

• Create/develop methods, procedures, training, etc.

• Analyze and develop problem solutions.

• Provide technical support.

• Manage/direct projects.

• Provide customer service; develop and maintain customer rapport.

• Training and Presentations.

Requirements: 5-7 years in the following areas

• Carrier Access Billing.

• Exchange carrier relations.

• Regulatory affairs

• Tariff interpretation.

• Telecommunications experience (preferred).

• Training

• Computer Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, telecommunications or related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Travel up to 30% of time**
