Manager, Talent Acquisition

What you will do:

Reporting to the Director of Talent, Learning & Development, the Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for understanding Tillamook’s talent supply and demand, market conditions and translating those into effective strategy executed through a team of talented recruiters. Balancing both strategic and operational skillsets, the role is charged with regularly assessing and developing practices, processes and programs that align with the needs of an ever changing, evolving organization. The TA Manager will partner with the team to represent Tillamook’s employment brand through various strategies with an emphasis on positive candidate experience. Possessing a collaborative and strategic mindset, this role will ensure a diverse pipeline of talent across the organization, foster collaborative relationships, and understand all compliance related requirements to ensure a diverse candidate pool.

Here’s a day in the life:

  • Engages with leadership to develop and implement innovative strategic plans to address current and future workforce needs. Works in collaboration with People & Culture Business Partners. Identifies, offers strategies, and engages solutions to barriers that prevent departments from effectively meeting workforce needs. Evaluate the effectiveness of the strategies and make modifications as needed to build successful outcomes.
  • Leads the Talent Acquisition Team, comprised of location specific recruiters and coordinator including structure design/evolution, coaching, mentoring and development to align with organizational talent needs now and in future.
  • Owns the day-to-day operations and the end-to-end process for recruitment at the organizational level and completes regular process improvement assessments and creates buy-in with key cross functional partners and executes where necessary.
  • Manages a requisition load; develops and executes innovative strategies to attract diverse talent for hard-to-fill, people manager, and senior leadership roles.
  • Partners with People & Culture Systems team to manage the ATS system, create metrics, and report out on those metrics on a regular basis.
  • Leads weekly/bi-weekly review meetings with business leaders and key business partners to provide an overview of recruiting achievements as well as opportunities to improve hiring performance moving forward.
  • Acts as a key agent in demonstrating company values and inclusion and diversity practices both in managing the team and in developing and implementing talent practices.
  • Design and utilize proactive sourcing strategies to create experienced and diverse talent pipelines.
  • Develop and codify Tillamook’s Employer brand in our communities, including strategic integrations with colleges, various organization partnerships to form further talent pipelines.
  • Designs and delivers training on recruitment and interview best practices for hiring managers and interview panels.
  • Lead recruiters and hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations.
  • Manage budget for represented function, ensure decisions are made to maximize dollars, create strategy to work with external recruitments for key roles when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively across the People & Culture team to identify clear hand offs between teams and ensure a positive hiring experience for all those involved in the hiring process both internally and externally.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Marketing, or Business Administration/Management or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience full cycle recruiting.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven leadership skills, ability to provide timely feedback to develop and build employee skill level.
  • Experience developing and implementing recruiting strategies across multiple business areas.
  • Business acumen with the proven ability to translate business priorities into recruitment strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner across the business at all levels.
  • Clear understanding of all current employment laws and regulations; understanding of FLSA guidelines, EEO.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook calendar functions.
  • Genuine enthusiasm and dedication for (and ideally experience in) inclusion and diversity initiatives and programs.
  • Comfortable moving extremely fast with the ability to navigate ambiguity and critically think through complex problems.
  • Open and people-centric approach to work and getting things done with the ability to adapt communication style and methods as needed.
  • Demonstrated success in collaboration across functions within People & Culture to improve the candidate experience as well as onboarding experience.
  • Experience with ATS such as Taleo.

Physical requirements:

Travel between sites and to various recruitment-related events with an acceptable driving record
