Role Overview
As a Senior Sourcing and Procurement Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in driving strategic sourcing, procurement, and contracting initiatives across our organization. This is a remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to tackle meaningful challenges from anywhere in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement category management strategies to optimize procurement processes.
Lead sourcing events and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.
Negotiate and finalize supplier contracts, including Master Services Agreements and Statements of Work, in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Provide strategic counsel to business partners on supplier and sourcing strategies to maximize enterprise leverage.
Conduct financial analysis and market research to support decision-making and cost-saving initiatives.
Foster strong partnerships with internal teams and external partners to drive business objectives and innovation.
Drive annual cost reduction plans and ensure goals are met or exceeded through effective sourcing strategies.
Monitor supplier performance and manage risk through proactive contracting and remediation efforts.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in category management, particularly within procurement or sourcing roles.
Proven track record in negotiating contracts, influencing stakeholders, and driving results.
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with procurement tools such as Ariba or PeopleSoft.
Proficiency in spreadsheet modeling and analysis (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
Knowledge of contract management processes and legal terms.
Background in medical supplies procurement would be advantageous.
