The Retirement Plans Manager works with the Total Rewards team to execute Clark’s strategy for its benefits and wellness programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the administration of Clark’s retirement plans
  • Execute retirement compliance requirements including annual ERISA Plan Audits, annual government disclosures/filings, Summary Plan Descriptions, internal audits, non-discrimination testing and determination of highly compensated employees. This includes responsibility for understanding and ensuring compliance in the plan administration function with all applicable federal and state laws such as Davis Bacon, ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code
  • Supervise retirement team
  • Oversee the 401(k) funding, including 401(k) match and annual company contribution calculation. Ensure adherence to internal governance process
  • Partner with accounting to forecast Retirement Plans 401(k) match and company contribution expense as needed
  • Participate in Retirement Plan subcommittee on investment options
  • Manage complex and escalated retirement issues
  • Oversee employee communications through multiple delivery channels
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual plan performance reports
  • Collaborate with HRIS team on retirement plan configuration.
  • Develop relationships with plan administrators, financial advisors, and other service providers and vendors as well as internal departments including Payroll, Finance and HR
  • Monitor retirement plan trends, developments, best practices, and legal and regulatory changes in retirement planning and administration
  • Lead periodic vendor RFPs

Qualifications

  • Retirement plan experience in progressive roles
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in finance/accounting, human resources or related discipline.
  • 3 years of progressive team leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of defined contribution retirement program regulations, including ERISA, DOL and IRS guidelines
  • Experience with Workday preferred.
  • SHRM-CP/SCP, S/PHR, PSCA or related/similar certifications
  • Knowledge of Spanish helpful

  • Able to manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously, with a strong ability to prioritize, organize and work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Google Suites
