Quality Engineering Manager


Manage all aspects of Quality for the Stuart location of Daher Aerospace operations. Oversee activities related to maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System across the site. Provide guidance and direction to deliver compliant products, drive continuous improvement and defect reduction. Act as the primary point of contact for customers and regulatory agencies for matters related to product quality and release.


Responsibilities:

  • Manages all activities for quality personnel including Quality Engineering, MRB approvals, and complex problem solving for the site.
  • Establishes operating policies and procedures that affect subordinate organizational units.
  • Interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to organizational policies.
  • Interfaces with operations management to facilitate continuous improvement and defect reduction.
  • Responsible for quality issues involving operations, tooling and manufacturing processes.
  • Data Driven Decision Making (DDDM) analytics by utilizing facts, metrics, and data to guide strategic business decisions that align with company goals, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Manage a team of direct reports.
  • Provides leadership, direction and clear information to Quality Staff as well as manufacturing floor employees regarding product quality, quality system requirements and operational best practices.
  • Assist in Management review compilation and execution.
  • Responsible for FOB support, performance evaluations, attendance and time-off and approval of all assigned personnel.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 10 years of related experience required
  • Aerospace industry experience and Aerospace manufacturing quality system knowledge
  • Experience with LEAN and SIX SIGMA
  • AS9100 experience
  • Experience with quality issues involving Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain
  • Engineering background preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years leadership experience in quality, inspection, or quality engineering
  • Must be able to speak, write, and read in English
