Manager, Operations and Lender Support

Origence is looking to hire a talented Manager, Operations and Lender Support!

The Manager, Operations and Lender Support will be responsible for the daily operations of the underwriting department. Guide the implementation, development and administration of underwriting guidelines for existing and new credit union partners. Provide training, coaching, career development, and feedback with performance evaluations for the team. Provide leadership and vision that enhance client engagement and achieve performance metrics, operational goals, and maintain and inspire client relationships. Identify and implement improved processes to increase the efficiencies of the department. Resolve issues communicated to the department by the credit unions or dealerships. Communicates all issues and production of the department to operations leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing

Staff Support & Development; Department Management

  • Demonstrate sound analysis and judgment in managing underwriting, processing, and related functions.
  • Responsible for preparing, monitoring, and maintaining reporting and analytics for department functions.
  • Manages the department staff.
    • Responsible for hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management.
    • Responsible for management of scaling and scheduling staff to accommodate business coverage needs.
    • Effectively manage staff to meet department goals and direct the necessary daily activity to ensure client production levels and business objectives are met.
  • Manage queues to ensure all client hours of operation and service agreements are met.
  • Focus on continuous improvement within service goals and evaluate program performance.
  • Regularly perform functions as needed within the Department.
  • Ensure department adherence to policies, procedures, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Coordination & Communication with Operations Leadership (AVP, Director, Supervisors)

  • Lead and support team meetings and training.
  • Coordinate staffing to maintain overall operations production expectations.
  • Coordinate supervision of staff.
  • Ensure consistent documentation and communication of process changes.
  • Maintain a professional and positive level of communication.
  • Ensure timely responses & resolution to operational issues for all dealer and credit union partners.
  • Communicate all issues, production or otherwise.
  • Collaborate to resolve client and internal support issues.

Business Leadership & Stakeholder Support

  • Be a subject matter expert for all relevant systems and processes.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements geared toward increased accuracy, improved turn time, improved service levels and maximization of revenue.
  • Participate in implementations for new clients and/or new products.
    • Monitor to ensure service levels and agreements are met.
    • Document new client procedures and train team on service requirements.
  • Support existing business partner relationships.
  • Support functional system testing and releases in UAT, training, and production environments.
  • Ensure service levels agreements are met.

Education

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or commensurate experience.

Experience

  • 10 years’ experience working in a dealer, automotive finance, or industry specific environment.
  • 3 Years management experience of staff including hiring, training, and development.
  • Demonstrated operational workflow and analysis experience through practical work experience.
  • General knowledge of financial industry policies and operations.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in consumer lending/underwriting environment.
  • Knowledge of indirect auto lending or leasing, lending operations, and regulatory compliance.

Specialized Skills

  • Ability to interface with corporate leaders / executives for the purpose of creating and furthering a business relationship on behalf of Origence.
  • Excellent communication skills (including verbal, written & documenting).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Working knowledge of PowerPoint functionality to create presentations.
  • Ability to travel within all Origence markets.

The starting salary range for this full-time position in Irvine, CA is $74,700- $93,300 per year. This base pay will take into consideration internal equity, candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge and experience among other factors. Origence maintains a highly competitive compensation program. Under company guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual bonus to provide an incentive to achieve targeted goals. Bonuses are awarded at company’s discretion on an individual basis.
