Responsible for managing a team of systems engineers and executing Design, such as requirements architecture, across Advanced Development Programs (ADP). Effective training and development of staff, recruiting of required high-end talent, growth of tool capabilities, performance management and assessment, employee career development, and compensation/promotion/awards planning are aspects of the position. Ensure the numerous Systems Design disciplines are properly implemented enabling engineering and product support requirements to be maintained in accordance with contract requirements. Ability to foster relationships with external customers and internal counterparts is required. Works extensively with counterparts in hardware engineering and software engineering, Chief Engineer's organization, and the program office. Ensures that Systems Design processes are being executed.
