KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager of Security Programs at New Pacific Airlines reports directly to the Director of Safety and Security and plays a critical role in overseeing the company’s security operations and compliance initiatives. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrating Safety ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promotes a safe environment by managing TSA vetting and Security-related employee lists.
  • Demonstrating Commitment by coordinating with the Director of Security to evaluate the Security Management System (SeMS) for continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining Integrity by managing TSA-required training compliance and conformance with internal procedures, promoting integrity in security training practices.
  • Fostering Connectedness by assisting in Company Technical Publications Management for all departments, ensuring connectedness and consistency in operational documentation.
  • Ensuring Reliability by presenting various data analysis reports regarding operational and physical security, supporting reliable decision-making processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must possess a strong background in aviation security, including familiarity with TSA security programs and 14 CFR Part 121 regulations. This individual excels in problem-solving and is adept at navigating a dynamic, ever-changing environment. Exceptional leadership and decisive skills, anchored in safety, are imperative for this role. Other key qualifications include:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in aviation, security, or related topics; or have at least two years’ experience working in an aviation safety environment
    • Knowledge of TSA adopted security programs to include the AOSSP, PCSSP, TFSSP, and regulations under 49 CFR 1544 is preferred
    • Knowledge of 14 CFR part 121 preferred.
    • Knowledge of Security Management Systems (SeMS) is preferred
  • Must be qualified to be appointed at the corporate level as the AAOSC.
  • Must complete the Security Threat Assessment (STA) in accordance with 49 CFR Part 1544 within 6 months of hire.
  • Must be work successfully through safety risk management processes.
  • Must have excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel, with high attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, communications, presentation and writing skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
  • Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Must be willing to travel for work.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
