Our Real Estate team is looking for a talented Manager – Real Estate to help support the efforts of our fast-growing company. Adapture Renewables is owned by KIRKBI – the private holding and investment company of the Kirk Kristiansen family founded to build a sustainable future for the LEGO® brand through generations.


Overview


This position will work in our Real Estate team and is responsible for real estate matters with minimal supervision from the Director of Real Estate for assigned projects that leads to a fully insurable and fully financeable project. The candidate may be based remotely in the U.S., with periodic travel to our Bay Area home office and other company locations.


Core Responsibilities


  • Lead various aspects of land diligence, title and survey matters from inception through closing site control agreements in connection with financing and construction
  • Coordinate with the title company to close parcels that are being purchased
  • Collaborate with title underwriting to de-risk projects and obtain and/or date down title insurance at each acquisition and/or financing milestone
  • Analyze and cure title, obtain necessary agreements and consents from third parties, resolve, mineral severances, and conduct in-depth review and ongoing management of real estate title up to commercial operations
  • Order a mineral assessment from the title company for assigned projects to determine whether full mineral searches are necessary. If so, order full mineral searches and clear mineral interests to obtain mineral coverage from the title company
  • review and perfect ALTA surveys in conjunction with title resolution and development of project design
  • for the real estate schedule and budget inputs for assigned projects



Qualifications and Experience



  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in real estate/title along with knowledge of utility-scale solar or other renewables origination/development.
  • Direct experience in the renewable energy industry highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Management, Finance, Economics Business Administration, Law, Environmental Science, Land Use Planning, Engineering, or another relevant field
  • Firm understanding of 2021 Minimum Standard Detail Requirements for ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
  • Strong familiarity with mineral interests
  • Experience managing land acquisition through financial close; knowledge of project financing and pre-construction requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong track record of sharing and coordinating information across a diverse project team
  • Demonstrated organizational, project management and personnel management skills
  • Strong sense of ownership over individual contributions and team success
