Kforce has a client in Germantown, MD that is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities:

Kforce has a client in Germantown, MD that is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Manage the preparation and filing of statutory financial statements and reports
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and ensure compliance with relevant standards
- Stay updated on changes in US GAAP and IFRS, and assess their impact on the company's financial reporting
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and other regulatory standards
- Conduct regular assessments of financial reporting processes to identify and mitigate risks
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and professional development opportunities
- Manage workflow planning and ensure that deadlines are met with high accuracy and integrity
- Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment
- Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion
- Liaise with external auditors and address audit findings and recommendations
- Prepare audit schedules and support documentation as required
- Collaborate with various departments, including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure accurate and comprehensive financial reporting
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Manage special projects and ad-hoc financial reporting initiatives as required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Extensive experience in both US Statutory reporting and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Experience with statutory reporting and compliance
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
- Proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Attention to detail
- Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
