Manager – Corporate Development & Strategy

One of our fast-growing Houston Oil & Gas-related clients is looking for a Manager to join their Corporate Development & Strategy team.

SCOPE

You will be responsible for conducting the economic and financial analyses in support of our clients key strategic initiatives within their energy infrastructure business unit. You will lead a cross-functional team focusing on deal financing & modeling, portfolio management, and acquisition and divestiture of opportunities. You will play an integral role in expanding the company’s infrastructure footprint across the Lower 48.

This Reports to the Vice President of Project Business Development with support from the broader commercial team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides analytical support to the organization and senior leadership as part of a cross-functional team.

Prepares economic analyses and financial models to support their organic growth strategy and potential strategic actions in their energy infrastructure business.

Collaborates on greenfield business opportunities and utilizes financial data to guide decision-making.

Facilitates deal closure by understanding deal structures and ensuring alignment with financial and strategic objectives.

Tracks variance analysis to assess business performance against goals and budgets.

Responds to ad hoc requests from top executives and the Board of Directors to evaluate value optimization and operational performance.

Facilitates the deal-making process by coordinating with various departments and senior leadership.

Monitors industry activity and communicates relevant information to the team.

Provides regular basin analyses to identify commercial development opportunities.

Leads or mentors team members within the Strategy & Corporate Development team.

Assists in all aspects of the infrastructure M&A process, including due diligence and deal execution.

Develops internal materials evaluating business trends and potential strategic alternatives for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
