We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager, Network Services.
Position Summary
The Manager, Network Services is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of the company's network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Work with network architects and security to ensure efficiency, scalability, and security of the network.
- Work with engineers to deploy network hardware and software according to design specifications.
- Setting up and maintaining network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers to ensure they function properly and securely.
- Work with network team to configure and utilize network management platforms to monitor network performance, diagnose, resolve issues, perform capacity management, and deploy software updates.
- Coordinate with the security team to prioritize and deploy updates to maintain security posture.
- Analyzing network traffic patterns and optimizing configurations to improve performance and reliability.
- Developing and implementing plans to ensure business continuity in the event of network failures or disasters.
- Providing technical support to users who encounter network-related issues and troubleshooting problems as they arise.
- Manage implementation of internal projects to keep operations running.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to team members.
Education & Experience
- Several years of hands-on experience working with Cisco enterprise or service provider networks in a progressively responsible role.
- Associates’ degree in Information Systems / Computer Science or equivalent technical training
- Cisco CCNA (active); Cisco CCNP preferred
- In-depth Cisco Expertise: Strong understanding of Cisco routing and switching technologies, protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP, etc.), and Cisco devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers).
- Troubleshooting: Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex network issues using Cisco troubleshooting tools and methodologies.
- Network Automation: Experience with scripting and automation tools (Python, Ansible, etc.) to streamline network management tasks.
- Network Management: Expertise with network management tools such as Live Action, Cisco Catalyst Center, and Logic Monitor.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor a team of network engineers.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage network implementation, upgrades, and changes.
- Problem-solving: Analytical mindset for quick issue resolution and preventing future problems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with other IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
