Overview

The Manager of Home Delivery Logistics will provide direction and transportation expertise in supporting eCommerce and Omnichannel operations and strategic initiatives. This individual will be responsible for home delivery LTL carrier management, cost and process optimization, contract negotiation, peak season planning and the development and execution of the delivery & assembly strategy and athlete experience.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal business partners and external service providers on key omnichannel initiatives to support the overall growth of the business and enhance the athlete experience. Lead and manage peak season planning and forecasting activities. Develop and execute logistics strategies to support the fitness and outdoor category initiatives.
  • Lead the development of new processes and improvement of existing ones, develop home delivery KPI dashboard, leverage data to drive vendor shipping compliance. Perform speed and cost optimization analyses for all channels (Ship from Store, Vendor Direct, Regional DC) to optimize network efficiency, reduce cost and improve margin.
  • The role leads one Logistics Analyst in supporting the operational, reporting and project tasks for Parcel & eCommerce Logistics, as well as professional development.
  • Foster carrier relationships and further develop a network to support omnichannel growth initiatives. Lead and manage RFPs, assist with negotiating contracts and pricing amendments to manage costs and align service offering with business and customer needs.

Qualifications

  • 4 year college degree with a focus in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics.
  • 5-7 years retail logistics experience including parcel, white glove, home delivery
  • Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, IBM Cognos reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Customer/athlete focused with strong interpersonal and team building skills including the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Skilled at handling multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously
  • Expertise in retail Supply Chain, Logistics and Transportation industries, preferably related to retail & eCommerce
  • Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams
