Job Description
The Role:
The purpose of the Manager, Editorial Content is to create timely, compelling content that engages financial professionals and individual investors. This includes writing and editing thought leadership, market commentary, and investment themes across various multi-media formats — and partnering on client journeys to tie this content to Invesco’s investment strategies and products. Our challenge for the Manager, Editorial Content is to bring a journalistic and data-driven approach to our team with pace, flexibility and multimedia thinking.

Job Description
The Role:
The purpose of the Manager, Editorial Content is to create timely, compelling content that engages financial professionals and individual investors. This includes writing and editing thought leadership, market commentary, and investment themes across various multi-media formats — and partnering on client journeys to tie this content to Invesco’s investment strategies and products. Our challenge for the Manager, Editorial Content is to bring a journalistic and data-driven approach to our team with pace, flexibility and multimedia thinking.
You will be responsible for:
- Strategic planning: In partnership with our market and investment thought leaders, identify compelling stories that answer client needs, pair those stories with calls to action that support business goals, determine the right time to tell those stories, and develop the right formats to use
- Content creation: Craft engaging, dynamic content across multimedia formats including, but not limited to web articles, video, infographics, and webinars. Provide editorial inspiration to the broader content team, bringing journalistic pace and style. Optimize content for SEO to increase discovery and engagement.
- Content prioritization: Participate in cross-marketing working groups and committees to develop better understanding of client needs and gain consensus on content plans to meet those needs. Partner with content activation teams to determine which pieces of content need to be prioritized.
- Content amplification: Partner with content activation teams to amplify Editorial content with greater timeliness, relevance, and resonance. Look for opportunities to promote and re-promote our best content at opportune times.
- Content refinement: Partner with our Analytics team to gain insight into content effectiveness and apply these findings for continuous improvement. Report to key stakeholders on content results and recommendations to continuously improve those results. Be a constant student of storytelling and strategy as it relates to the most effective ways to engage audiences with content across paid, owned and earned channels.
- 3–5-year proven track record in an editorial or journalistic content creation role that crafts original content for activation across digital and traditional media.
- Experience creating content for a variety of platforms: Web, blogs, videos, emails, etc.
- Familiarity with digital strategy and insights-, metrics- and results-based marketing principles.
- Experience working with thought leaders and executives to help articulate their messages in client-friendly ways.
- Experience with financial services or investment content would be a plus.
- Experience creating content in a highly regulated industry would be a plus.
- High editorial standards, takes pride in the work.
- Ability to write content from the beginning, and to edit drafts begun by others.
- The ability to offer editorial feedback in constructive ways, and the ability to take received feedback to make content better
- Understands what investors and financial professionals need from a story versus the general public.
