Our Marketing & Experience division is looking for a Manager, Creative Strategy & Solutions to join our growing team. In this role, you will act as a creative director, helping define the visual and verbal creative expression of the Blue Cross of Idaho brand (and affiliates) to ensure the company’s brand story is presented in the most effective way through content, design, digital, photography, print and physical branding.

Your core objectives are to build awareness, drive engagement in clinical programs, grow preference, sales, retention, and loyalty for key audiences including the consumers, prospective and current members, groups, brokers and providers through strategic creative campaigns. Provide thought leadership in brand, marketing and creative strategy and is the strategic resource for key partners across the enterprise to drive business outcomes through creative strategy and execution. This role manages a team assigned to that portfolio of work. What You'll Be Doing

  • Responsible for the Blue Cross of Idaho (and affiliates) creative strategy, from the enterprise brand identity to finished deliverable, and works to ensure understanding and alignment across the enterprise.
  • Responsible for the development of all marketing campaign assets including video, TV, email marketing, landing page development, display advertising ads, social media and print.
  • Leads as the strategic subject matter expert to the enterprise on creative strategy, to strengthen the brand to drive the success of the company.
  • Responsible for the visual and verbal expressions of the brand including the creative ideation, presentation, and execution of marketing communications campaigns and the creative quality of projects in fulfillment of the brand positioning.
  • Translates business objectives and marketing goals into strategic concepts and messages to deliver best-in-class customer / consumer experience and business results.
  • Create, manage, and maintain design files, including stock and custom-created graphics, illustrations, and logos. Keep brand guidelines and asset libraries structured and easily accessible to facilitate coordination among designers and partners

Hiring Requirements

Location: This position has preferred flexibility to work hybrid location (onsite Meridian Idaho campus and remote work-from-home). Working fully remote within a mutually acceptable location may also be considered.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic design, Fine Arts, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent work experience (two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)

Required Experience: 5-7/+ years' experience, to include 3/+ years' leadership experience over a team of diverse, talented creatives. Depth of experience should encompass:

  • Creating marketing/advertising campaigns — from developing vision and messaging architecture to overseeing production on time and within budget
  • Creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline and print
  • Working experience with Adobe Creative and Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with project management programs such as Workfront or Asana
  • Working graphic/web design knowledge
  • Experience as a creative manager/director or similar creative role in a corporate or agency setting

Specific Tasks

  • Formulate basic layout design or presentation approach and specify material details, such as style and size of type, photographs, graphics, animation, video, and sound.
  • Manage projects working within budget and scheduling requirements.
  • Confer with creative, art, copywriting, and/or production team members to discuss client requirements, presentation concepts, creative briefs and to coordinate creative activities.
  • Present final layouts to clients for approval.
  • Review and approve art materials, copy materials, and proofs of printed copy developed by staff members.
  • Work with creative team to develop design solutions.
  • Confer with internal clients to determine objectives, budget, background information, and presentation approaches, styles, and techniques for creative briefs.
  • Work with print fulfillment coordinator on print bids and estimates for print materials.
  • Managing/working closely with vendors.
  • Attend photo shoots and printing sessions to ensure that the products needed are obtained.
  • Research current trends and new technology, such as printing production techniques, computer software, and design trends.
  • Hire, train, and direct staff members who develop design concepts into art layouts or who prepare layouts for printing.
  • Mark up, complete layouts and write typography instructions to prepare materials for printing.
  • Conceptualize and help design interfaces for multimedia apps, products, and devices.
  • Prepare detailed storyboards showing sequence and timing of story development for television production.
