In this highly visible role, the Manager, Accounting will assist the VP, Controller with overseeing accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare and review journal entries
• Help ensure weekly and month-end close tasks are completed accurately and timely, including supervision of staff
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP to ensure accuracy, comparability, consistency and completeness
• Identify process improvements to ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Support the implementation of new accounting, finance and technology systems
• Supervise the account payable function: ensuring invoices are properly coded, approved timely, posted and reconciled from the aging to the general ledger
• Supervise and mentor our Accounts Payable Specialists
• Oversee the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all entities. Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other relevant accounting standards.
• Coordinate the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure timely and efficient completion.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
• Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, processes, and procedures. Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation in financial operations.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed
  
  

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA certification preferred.
• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager for a global Saas company.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP.
• Strong people leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Netsuite experience required.
