An investment management firm in Connecticut is looking to add an experienced Accounting professional to their growing team as their new Management Company Accountant.
Responsibilities:
The Management Company Accountant will be responsible for:
Generate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Develop and monitor budgets; create financial forecasts to guide company strategy
Analyze financial performance and variances; provide insights and recommendations for financial improvement
Manage and process invoices, payments, and collections; reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances
Record financial transactions accurately; ensure the general ledger is up-to-date and reconciled
Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Monitor and manage the company's cash flow
Oversee the payroll process to ensure timely and accurate payments
Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
8+ years of Accounting experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Microsoft Excel proficient
Solid analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
