The Technician I, Maintenancemaintains production and quality by ensuring operation of production machinery and mechanical equipment. This position will not exceed 25 hours per week.
Job Responsibilities
Independently performs repair/maintenance of GMP utilities and GMP production equipment, while following standard operating procedures
Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules, performing the work within manufacturing or production schedules
Update spare parts inventories as needed
Follow all procedures and applicable guidelines
Support technical, engineering, and manufacturing. Meet customer needs in support of business goals
Document all PM and repair tasks by ensuring that entries are legible and document any excursions from written procedures or any abnormalities utilizing the appropriate reporting systems
Comply with aseptic processing requirements
Minimize active batch downtime
Assist with product changeovers, set-ups, and start-up activities
Maintain pharmaceutical processing equipment
Perform PM activities
Maintain maintenance records
Comply with environmental health and safety requirements
Maintain maintenance communications
Train others in mechanical maintenance
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and P&ID
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and other systems
Knowledge of lock out tag out procedures
Must have a solid understanding of CGMP
Good computer skills required.
Attention to detail
Must be flexible to work multiple shifts (Day, Swing, Nights) including weekends.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
Education And Experience Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Trade School or Associates degree preferred
Knowledge and experience with programmable logic controllers and/or Distributed Control Systems is desirable.
Trade certification in Industrial Electrical, Refrigeration, Boiler operator, welding, or other pertinent craft is desirable.
Knowledge and experience with pharmaceutical filling operations, desirable
Desired familiarity with particle measuring systems (PMS), air monitoring systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, vacuum systems, and peristaltic pumps, etc.
