Blue Origin is developing the next generation launch and space vehicle manufacturing facility on Florida’s Space Coast at our Orbital Launch Site Manufacturing Complex. We are in search of a Maintenance technician that can perform under minimal supervision the following: Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on machining equipment, work with customers and suppliers both within and outside of organization, communicate clearly with team. **Availability for Off shift preferred**

Responsibilities
Preforms all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
Manage all machine tool service requirements and needs
Perform/schedule factory required preventative maintenance
Maintain and repair machine tools and other equipment
Assemble and install mechanical equipment and systems such as production machinery/tools
Maintain all machine service records
Schedule factory repair technicians
Operate as a point of contact with factory for service
Provide training as required for preventative maintenance to other employees
Read and understand blueprints.
Use of gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
Use of precision tool, machinery and equipment such as CNC lathe, mills, 5 axis, and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.
Complies with all quality and company policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
Qualifications
A minimum of 4 years of experience in machine maintenance
Trouble shoot and repair CNC equipment such as mills, lathes, lasers and EDMs
Have working experience with CNC machine operations and mechanical components including motors, spindles, bearings, controls, relays, switches and solenoids
Familiar reading electrical schematics and diagrams
Excellent communication skills
Fluent in use of precision hand tools
Familiar with use of personal computers
Self-motivated and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates
High school diploma or GED required along with trade school degree or 5 years of experience.
GD&T knowledge and full understanding.
Effectively communicate and understands job instructions both verbally and written.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations in the concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical of diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required, use of an overhead crane, forklift, stand for long periods of time, vision requirements will include close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus.
Computer skills.
Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident alien
Desired
Fanuc, Haas, Mori-Seiki, Siemens and Heidenhain control experience
Familiar with Laserdyne and IPG machines
Experience with Laser and Ball Bar alignments
Multi-axis lathe, multi-axis mill and multi axis VTL maintenance experience
Integration of accessory machine components
Machine ladder logic and PLC experience
Machine operation experience
Basic of tooling and fixture design
Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware
Ability to work cooperatively with teams of diverse skill levels
Experience machining tight tolerance, high value components
