The Maintenance Supervisor will provide leadership to the entire maintenance department with a clear vision for a value-added maintenance team with a strong focus on equipment reliability. This individual will be responsible for supervising and leading the maintenance team in such a way that promotes a safe, positive, and productive work environment. Will supervise and or support all aspects of maintenance including, but not limited to, workforce scheduling, spare parts availability, special projects, reliability of equipment, inspection process, preventive maintenance functions, parts ordering, record keeping, etc.
Must have reasonable knowledge of complex mechanical and electrical repair procedures, mechanical drive trains and components, basic electrical systems, and plant infrastructure, i.e., chillers, air compressors, and process water systems, etc. Expected to be flexible on schedule arrangements, including weekends.
Safety Management
Promote a Culture of Zero by continuously monitoring safety rules and requirements (i.e., dress code/PPE/reporting requirements/machine guarding)
Respond to team member safety concerns in a timely manner
Lead the completion of Incident Investigations, including root cause, corrective actions and escalation when necessary.
Operational Excellence
Schedule and assign employees to daily task of maintaining production equipment and facility via CMMS – follow-up to ensure work is completed and properly documented
Ensure all necessary resources are available to complete work safely and effectively (parts, tools, contract services, etc.)
Facilitate the Daily Huddle Process to include problem solving, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Actions
Assist with development of job plans or work procedures to ensure safe, reliable equipment performance
Support continuous improvement efforts (RaM roadmap, Kaizen action items, etc.)
Human Capital
Staffing control – manage vacations, leaves, job movements, etc.
Review/approve team member time and attendance in ADP
Provide coaching and feedback to team members including training/development plans, performance evaluation and discipline
Required Minimum Education Experience: High School Diploma. 3+ yrs maintenance manufacturing.
Preferred: Bachelors Degree, 5+ yrs Experience.
