Are you a dynamic leader with a knack for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical components? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement and safety are top priorities? If so, we want you to join our client’s team as a Maintenance Supervisor at our plant!
In this critical role, you will leverage your strong leadership skills to supervise and develop the maintenance team. Your expertise will be essential in mentoring staff, driving continuous improvement projects, and ensuring we meet our stringent sanitation and safety guidelines.
What You'll Do:
Lead and Inspire: Coach, provide feedback and recognize your team members to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintenance Mastery: Oversee the plant’s predictive and preventative maintenance plan for all boot manufacturing equipment, both mechanical and electrical.
Technical Troubleshooting: Guide the team in reducing equipment stoppages and resolving common technical issues.
Performance Metrics: Propose and monitor key performance indicators aligned with Best Maintenance Practices.
Quality Repairs: Ensure all repairs and modifications from Gap assessments, plant audits, and notifications are executed with high-quality workmanship and on time.
Planning & Analysis: Ensure that job planning and material and services planning are accurate and that equipment history, damage codes, and root cause analyses are completed correctly.
Team Development: Evaluate team performance and provide periodic feedback to foster their growth and development.
Collaboration: Work closely with the plant manager, staff, suppliers, contractors, and plant partners to ensure alignment and effective teamwork across all functions.
What You'll Need:
Educational Background: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience
At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably in footwear or boot manufacturing.
Experience with leather products or textiles is critical. Especially industrial sewing machines
Managing people.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a bonus.
Availability: Must be able to work extended hours, including Saturdays and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Fitness: Good physical condition and strength.
- Lifting: Ability to safely lift boxes up to 30 pounds.
