The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to work with our Maintenance Team.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance activities as directed and instructed by the Facilities Manager at the Lodge, Viking, and Condo properties.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilities Maintenance: Maintain in good working order and condition all areas of hotel utilities and basic functions (i.e.) electrical, plumbing, telephone, HVAC, audio systems, outdoor irrigation, elevators, alarm systems, pool systems, and all Guest Room amenities requiring maintenance.
  • Work Order Protocol: Monitor the scope of work and pace of completion of tasks that come through the Work Order System. Timely completion is desirable, but discretion is important as to the management of time and resources. Adherence to the procedure and diligence regarding the system key functions
  • Large Scale Facilities Maintenance Functions: Shop Supervisor shall NOT be responsible for long –term planning, scheduling of staff, and adherence to budget. Capital Improvements and purchases exceeding $300 shall require approval of Facilities Manager
  • Reporting to Supervisors: Shop Supervisor shall report directly to the Facilities Manager and, in some instances, technical expertise shall require briefings and reports to the General Manager and the Board of Directors.
  • Staff Supervision: Shop Supervisor shall have daily control of the Maintenance Staff and their priorities and work load. Initiative must be exhibited regarding assignment of, and accountability for, tasks and work orders.
  • Attendance: Full time position requiring regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
  • Work Environment: Most work will be performed within the greater Lodge property’s holdings. The Maintenance shop and the mechanical rooms throughout the property will require the most attention.
  • Occasional tasks related to ordering and purchasing will require offsite meetings and trips. Lodge vehicles will be provided
  • Make continued effort to enhance the training and abilities of the other members of the Maintenance Department.
  • Make continued efforts to assess the strengths of each member of the Maintenance Department and put task in line with strengths to increase the productivity and odds of success giving any specific task.
  • Daily morning inspection and checking of following systems: hot water systems; HVAC systems; heating systems; elevators; fire systems; sewer system checks and fuel system check.

  • Experience in the construction industry is required including knowledge of all or several of the following areas: plumbing, electrical, telephone, HVAC, audio, outdoor irrigation, alarm systems, pool and spa, basic computer skills and experience with hand tools.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

EDUCATION

No formal education is required, however, extensive experience in the construction industry is essential, and as indicated in the Work Experience section, a working knowledge of all or several of the following areas is required: plumbing, electrical, telephone, HVAC, audio, outdoor irrigation, alarm systems, pool and spa, basic computer skills and experience with hand tools.
