About The Role

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance and continuous improvement activities associated with facilities, facilities equipment, production, and packaging equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures compliance with cGMP and FDA pharmaceutical standards, provides production support, and actively identifies and implements corrective actions and process improvements. The maintenance supervisor will help with planning and scheduling of maintenance activities and collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Provide clear direction and guidance to the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed on time and in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Mentor and develop maintenance staff, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing opportunities for professional growth.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules, prioritizing tasks to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Lead efforts to implement preventive maintenance programs, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Oversee equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety, training, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history, maintenance schedules, and regulatory documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance-related issues and optimize overall operational efficiency.
  • Willing to work extra hours, weekends, holidays, and off shift if the need arises.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership, computer, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and engage team members.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software, CMMS systems, with a focus on driving efficiency, improving equipment reliability and runtime.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in maintenance operations, particularly in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, and kneel.
  • Must be able to operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with arms and hands.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate safety equipment including PAPR when required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.

  • Experience within the Pharmaceuticals Industry
