Perform the Maintenance Engineering support tasks needed to provide continuous operation of Heavy-Duty Engine (HDE) Machining Operations. Machining operations to include: Blocks, Connecting Rods, Heads, Liners, and Turbo Machining & Assembly Operations.
The Maintenance Engineer primarily works to maintain the operational readiness of all machining equipment, and also participates in cross-functional teams with the Maintenance Supervisor & Controls Engineer, and members of the Operations & Quality Departments.
Maintenance Engineers also create maintenance plan TIPs & SWI’s, and work closely with ME & machining equipment OEM’s to provide specifications for new machines & machine upgrades.
Provide mechanical engineering & technical support to a collaborative team of Skilled Trades, Controls & Process Engineers in the diagnosing & repairs of CNC and Assembly Machining Operations.
Provide the technical drawings & OEM documentation to the Machining Maintenance team of Supervisors, Engineers, & Skilled Trades needed to troubleshoot faults, and diagnosing equipment failure.
Basic Qualifications Required:
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
Proficient with PC hardware and commercially available software.
Knowledge of safety codes and standards.
Knowledge of fluid systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, coolant, and lubrication).
Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
Ability to read, interpret, and create drawings of equipment, hydraulic, pneumatic, and general electrical circuits.
Preferred:
Familiarity with Maximo, SAP, and Outlook.
Knowledge of metal cutting, press force monitoring, part marking, fastening, washing, and filter manufacturing & machining processes.
