Maintenance Technician Position
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of essential duties related to maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment at our facility. This role involves reading and understanding technical drawings, conducting tests to identify malfunctions, and performing repairs or replacements on defective parts. Additionally, you will be responsible for installing new parts, conducting inspections, and adhering to safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
To excel in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with three to five years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to read and interpret technical documents, write reports, and communicate effectively with team members. Basic mathematical skills and the ability to solve problems independently are also required. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
Physical Demands And Work Environment
This position requires manual dexterity, physical strength, and the ability to lift and move heavy objects. You must be able to work in a dynamic environment with exposure to various physical elements, including heat, noise, and mechanical parts. - Using machine tools for repair and maintenance
- Operating metalworking tools to make or repair parts
- Initiating purchase orders for parts and machines
- Repairing electrical equipment
