Join mbodi.ai, an AI startup founded by two former Googlers committed to increasing the amount, quality, and availability of robotics data while drastically reducing the need for human supervision. We are looking for a skilled Machine Learning Researcher to enhance our team. This role involves crafting, training, and refining multimodal foundational models and diffusion models to boost downstream applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and train state-of-the-art multimodal foundation models using both open and proprietary sources.
Create and optimize diffusion models to enhance data augmentation and inference processes.
Implement and assess strategies to enhance downstream performance and reduce reliance on manual intervention.
Rapidly prototype and iterate on machine learning experiments.
Demonstrate initiative, an ability to rapidly acquire new skills, a results-driven mindset, and a commitment to innovation and excellence in deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Master’s degree, Ph.D., or comparable research experience in a related field.
Python expertise at the Software Engineering Level
Experience training diffusion models, vision transformers, and/or other robotics-related large neural networks.
Ability to read, understand, adapt, and implement academic research code.
A robust passion for generative AI and robotics.
Proficient with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Preferred Qualifications:
Enjoys reading source code and thirst for reading entire repos.
Experience in training large-scale models with over a billion parameters.
Familiarity with CUDA and optimization strategies for training and inference (e.g., DeepSpeed, DDP, FSDP).
Knowledge of LoRA or equivalent methodologies.
Skills in fine-tuning and few-shot learning techniques.
Experience with robotic operating systems ROS1/2.
Availability to start within the next few weeks.
