Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid - M-W in office)

Compensation: $150,000-$275,000+ Bonus ($200K-275K++ for Director Level)

Skills: CPA, Merger, Acquisition, Divestiture, Restructuring and Capital Market Transactions (Energy Experience a plus)

We are a dynamic energy focused consulting firm with a growing Tax Advisory practice that is hiring for all levels within our Transaction Advisory group. Our ideal Candidate will work a hybrid schedule out of either our Houston, Dallas or Denver office. In this role, you will:

• Interface directly with clients and prospective clients to help expand the volume and variety of engagements within our growing tax practice
• Advise clients on matters related to mergers, acquisitions, divestiture, restructuring, and capital market transactions
• Advise clients on various matters with tax implications, including buy-side and sell-side domestic transactions, tax structuring, reorganizations, bankruptcy, debt restructuring and financial structuring, tax due diligence and modeling, and State specific issues
• Perform various calculations, computations and analysis of COD, tax basis, earnings & profits, and tax attributes, such as net operating losses and interest expense deductions
• Help clients identify risks, optimize tax structuring and preserve tax attributes
• Mentor junior tax associates and consultants

Must Have Skills:

• CPA
• 4+ years of Public Accounting/Tax Experience for Manager Level
• 7+ years of experience for the Director Level
• Extensive Experience with M&As, Divestiture, Restructuring and Capital Market Transactions

Nice to Have Skills:

• Energy Industry Experience is a Major Plus
• JD and LLM
