Job Summary

The M&A Investment Banking Vice President is a high-impact role responsible for leading merger and acquisition transactions, managing client relationships, and overseeing the development and execution of M&A strategies. This position requires a seasoned professional with robust financial expertise, leadership skills, and a proven track record in deal origination and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the execution of M&A transactions, including both buy-side and sell-side deals.
  • Develop and nurture senior-level client relationships to enhance business development opportunities.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of associates and analysts, directing their work in financial modeling, valuation, and market analysis.
  • Oversee the preparation of presentation materials for pitches and client meetings.
  • Conduct complex financial analysis and create sophisticated financial models to evaluate deal scenarios.
  • Manage the due diligence process, coordinating with clients, external advisors, and internal teams.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients, aligning financial strategies with their long-term goals.
  • Negotiate terms and structures of transactions, demonstrating strong deal-closing capabilities.
  • Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards throughout the transaction process.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences and networking events to promote the firm’s M&A capabilities.

Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in investment banking, specifically in M&A.
  • Strong track record of successfully managing and closing complex transactions.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial modeling, corporate finance, and valuation techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing teams.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with financial software tools and MS Office.
