Job Description Summary
As a full-time Admissions Counselor with Liberty University’s Online Enrollment Team, you’ll have the opportunity to work from home or from our office. You’ll get to recruit and encourage students through meaningful conversations, walking alongside them as they prepare for a rewarding academic career.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
A high school diploma and customer service/sales experience is required. Ability to work first/second shift, rotating Saturdays, and occasional overtime. Utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. A bachelor's degree and previous experience in the contact center is preferred.
Ability to respond to emails and phone calls within 24 hours and effectively use reason and sound judgment to find solutions and solve problems/obstacles that may be preventing students from continuing their enrollment and completing their degree. Required to sit for extended period of time to perform deskwork, as well as stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building, and regularly lift 10 pounds or fewer.
Ability to work evening hours, 11-8pm EST, Saturdays, and occasional overtime.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Effectively handling incoming and outgoing phone communication with prospective students by utilizing cisco, dialer and other agent tools.
- Taking new applications for prospective students by following a department call-flow and promoting the University’s degree programs.
- Converting prospective students from an applications to admission decision by following a department call-flow and promoting the University’s degree.
- Counseling students on financial aid processes, transfer guidelines, and military related issues.
- Promoting the features and benefits of all undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs as well as the added value of an online education.
- Answering questions of a complex nature regarding the University’s admissions policies.
- Developing relationships and coordinating with support offices to solve student problems and address student concerns.
- Assisting new admissions students with the completion of the steps necessary for them to move from inquiry to acceptance.
- Finding new and innovative ways to become more effective and efficient in new student services.
- Implementing daily and weekly feedback from the Management Team on areas to improve.
- Meeting or exceeding departmental key performance indicators.
