Loss Prevention Specialist is responsible for the detection and apprehension, of shoplifting subjects. Loss Prevention Specialists will assist in promoting and monitoring compliance to Company policies and procedures related to theft prevention, safety, and inventory control. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work independently or in a team environment. Candidate will have the opportunity to work in various stores in order to maximize their potential.

Primary Responsibilities: Monitors customer and teammate activities for potential theft. Completes investigation reports, and all paperwork related to audits and other shortage control programs. Assists Loss Prevention Department in conducting internal theft investigations. Completes audits of operational, safety and inventory control related procedures.

Requirements: Prior experience in Loss Prevention or educational background, in criminal justice, security, law enforcement preferred.

  • Competent in using CCTV systems and understanding of external/internal theft surveillance and apprehension methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Self-Starter with excellent work ethics, who makes good decisions in stressful situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willing to work holidays, weekends and flexible hours.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen.
