Job Overview
As a Logistics Specialist, you’ll be responsible for being a critical link in a robust supply chain to support excellent customer service while supporting key order-to-cash and procure-to-pay functions in our growing Operations Team. This is a full-time role based in our Plano, TX facility.
How you contribute to our success
Support our sales team by managing end-to-end sales order execution for selected customer accounts
Manage sales order dates, issuance of pick tickets, confirmation & tracking of shipments and invoice creation
Help source cost effective delivery options for both inbound and outbound shipments
Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipping with our 3rd party logistics providers
Manage the scheduling of inbound and outbound delivery appointments
Provide accurate and timely statuses for shipments ensuring our ERP system is updated with the latest dates and BOL/POD documents
Process vendor bills for freight and collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to resolve discrepancies
Collaborate with the Operations Team to identify/implement process improvements and cost savings in the transportation function
Analyze historical demand & sales forecast data to generate a supply plan for specified products
Manage continuous improvement initiatives related to the supply chain operations function
Obtain purchase order confirmations and maintain accurate dates and statuses in our ERP system
Maintain related master data in our ERP system
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics required
Experience working in order management/ERP systems (Oracle-NetSuite) preferred
Intermediate-level MS Excel proficiency (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a continuous improvement, entrepreneurial, and customer-centric mindset
Detail oriented and self-motivated
