Job Purpose
The logistics team is integral to optimizing the utilization of our extensive equipment lease pool, maintaining well-stocked warehouses based on business needs, and implementing efficient shipment methods between facilities and customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Allocation:
Foster strong collaborations with district teams to ensure effective equipment allocation procedures.
Monitor equipment lists closely, ensuring timely delivery and optimizing efficiency at shipping facilities.
Inventory Management
Maintain consistent supply levels in warehouses based on local sales directives.
Monitor and adjust regional inventories to minimize lead times and reduce excess freight expenses.
Set optimal inventory thresholds and utilize historical usage data to make informed decisions.
General
Lead a motivated team, promoting collaboration with remote districts to uphold equipment allocation standards.
Collaborate with senior management on equipment manufacturing and reservation processes.
Negotiate carrier and parcel contracts to manage costs effectively.
Additional Responsibilities
Develop and implement processes to maximize asset utilization and revenue while minimizing costs.
Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and streamline administrative processes.
Lead hiring, compensation, and training efforts to build a proficient and engaged logistics team.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 2 years of direct relevant experience, plus 2-4 years in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics.
Ability to build effective relationships across all levels.
Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and computer skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Creative Thinker With Strong Problem-solving Abilities And Negotiation Skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and exercise good judgment.
Occasional travel required (<10%).
