Logistics Manager

We are currently seeking candidates for a Logistics Manager at a global manufacturing co. in New York, NY, 10104.

Will manage the end-to-end logistics of shipping containers from our manufacturing facilities in Europe to customers in the USA and Canada.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of international logistics experience and has managed complex supply chains.

3 days on-site per week

Compensation: $100K - $130K (pending on relevant work experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the shipping of approximately 250 containers annually from Europe to the USA and Canada, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Coordinate the movement of equipment, some weighing up to 30,000 lbs., via ground transport to end customers.
  • Maintain effective communication between the factory, freight forwarders, transport companies, and customers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Ensure all shipments comply with international shipping regulations and customs requirements for both origin in Europe and North America.
  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance delivery performance.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely availability of products and manage warehouse operations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate shipping documentation and provide regular reports on logistics performance and KPIs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, transport companies, and other logistics service providers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics management, preferably with international shipping and heavy equipment handling.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
