Logistics Coordinator

Location: Jessup, MD

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Pay: $20-$23/hourly based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Organizing and scheduling logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Maintaining accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and transactions.
• Handling necessary paperwork such as shipping documentation, invoices, and customs clearances.
• Acting as a point of contact between suppliers, carriers, and customers to resolve any issues that may arise during transportation and delivery.
• Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring adequate stock levels to meet customer demand. Implementing inventory control measures to minimize excess or shortage of goods.
• Optimizing logistics costs by evaluating transportation options, negotiating contracts with suppliers and carriers, and finding cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality or delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inventory or operations experience
• Excellent computer skills
• MS Excel skills a must!
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to problem solve.
