Logistics Coordinator

Type: Full Time, Contract to Hire, Monday to Friday, 1st shift

Responsibilities:

  • Allocate material type/lots to outbound orders utilizing FIFO methodology.
  • Coordinate load order packets for warehouse loading teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Remove allocated inventory from the computer system prior to use, maintaining accurate records.
  • Populate and update spreadsheets directing dock placement of empty containers for loading.
  • Confirm the accuracy of printed Bill of Lading (BOL)/Load Order paperwork prior to use.
  • Monitor email communication and update live booking sheets to ensure up-to-date information.
  • Update inventory availability for orders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Correspond with customers as needed to address inquiries and confirm booking details.
  • Generate and distribute Release Summary reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Verify container numbers, lot numbers, total counts and weights, and seal accuracy on spreadsheets.
  • Confirm ingate to port via communication with truckers.
  • Provide container details to customers/freight forwarders for document cutoffs as needed, including manual doc lists, doc extension, and late gate requests.
  • Input data into SAP for Activity Due List, including lot allocation, container information, and deliveries.
  • Assist Logistics Manager with daily communication and monitoring of truck dispatch, managing and factoring in various considerations such as containers delivering in requested order, arriving timely, and meeting daily volume requests.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with SAP preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with FIFO methodology and warehouse operations is a plus.
