Get It Recruit - Finance

Loan Specialist - Remote | WFH

What Sets Us Apart

Join a team committed to a customer-centric, service-based approach in the mortgage industry. We emphasize consumer education, fostering strong real estate agent relationships, and delivering personalized experiences for home buyers. Our goal is to empower our team members to consistently provide a best-in-class experience while prioritizing enduring relationships.

What We Need

We are seeking outgoing, professional, and highly organized Loan Specialists to join our Loan Operations team. This full-time role focuses on high-touch pipeline and file management. Unlike Loan Officers (LOs) who engage in outbound sales and referral partner activities, Loan Specialists (LSs) excel in process-oriented loan management, originating numerous loans internally.

Important Distinction

Loan Specialists play a pivotal role distinct from Loan Officer Assistants (LOAs), assuming greater responsibility and ownership. They serve as mortgage advisors and sales leaders, not just closing deals but winning them through expert management and customer engagement.

Collect and review borrower financial documentation for UMortgage Operations.

Evaluate loan applications, credit histories, and financial data for eligibility.

Conduct thorough pre-approval calls with potential borrowers.

Follow up with pre-approved borrowers to support their home shopping journey.

Submit completed loan applications and required documentation to UMortgage Operations.

Register and lock loan files with lenders, ensuring compliance with loan program disclosures.

Coordinate third-party orders (Appraisal, Title, HOI) as necessary.

Collaborate with lenders on TBD underwrites and scenario resolutions.

Provide real-time updates and proactive communication to borrowers, referral partners, and internal teams.

Meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs) for turnaround times.

Uphold our company's core values and customer-centric model throughout the loan process.

Maintain current knowledge of lenders, products, guidelines, and processes.

What You Need

Fulfill additional responsibilities as business needs dictate.

Active NMLS license.

Minimum 50 units processed in the last 12 months as Processor, Loan Originator Assistant, or primary Loan Originator.

Availability for weekend and after-hours work.

Proficiency in analyzing and structuring loan files.

Strong customer service, presentation, and communication skills.

Ability to cultivate and maintain client and referral partner relationships.

Team-oriented mindset with adaptability and accountability.

Excellent attention to detail and time management.

Proficient in analytical problem-solving.

Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

Stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.

Use hands for reaching, handling, and feeling.

Maintain vision capabilities including close, distance, peripheral, color, and depth perception.
