This position offers high visibility with both internal and external clients, focusing on data input and integrity. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert on the McCracken servicing system, supporting our Client Relations team in resolving issues related to billing, loan modifications, amortization schedule discrepancies, and loan triggers.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on McCracken, assisting with the resolution of billing and accrual issues due to modifications, discrepancies in amortization schedules, or loan triggers.
  • Interact with servicing loan administration and client relations teams as well as external clients, as needed, in handling sensitive and critical issues.
  • Conduct quality control reviews on new loans entered into McCracken, ensuring settings for rates, accruals, and billing align with the loan documents.
  • Monitor and maintain loans that require regular manual updates due to scheduled changes or specific billing requirements that McCracken cannot automatically handle.
  • Act as a point of contact for high-risk system updates, such as updating daily rates, setting up bank accounts, check payee names, and vendors, to minimize the risk of internal fraud.
  • Manage and respond to email correspondence in the department mailboxes, ensuring timely and accurate replies, reviewing necessary documentation, and securing approvals in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Support end-users of Berkadia's borrower and investor websites.
  • Participate in continuous departmental process improvement and innovation projects timely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate assigned data cleanup initiatives, analyzing data, prepare corrections, and monitor processes on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist in the training department members or other internal team members in order to improve performance and knowledge within the department and servicing team.
  • Write and update department procedures, as needed.
  • Participate in system upgrade testing or disaster recovery testing, as needed.
  • Perform other loan maintenance tasks or duties as required by department processes or management.
  • Computer Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (working with spreadsheets and formulas), with skills including VLOOKUP and creating PivotTables.
    • In-depth knowledge of the McCracken Strategy servicing system, encompassing all components, such as Green Screens, CS, Asset Surveillance, and MATI tool.
    • Basic understanding of SQL Query tool used to run reports and using IBM Cognos to generate data reports.
We are passionate about your growth, so to achieve success in this role you should have:

  • Expertise in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Ability to read, review and understand legal documentation, preferably related to commercial loans.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively convey messages across all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills, enabling prioritization of tasks, efficient issue resolution, and effective multitasking in a competitive environment.
  • Self-motivated with keen attention to detail, action-and-results oriented, and a proactive approach that includes making suggestions and providing options.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
  • Proficiency with McCracken Strategy and IBM Cognos.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • One to two years prior experience in a similar position.
