Loan Review Manager

Job Summary: The Loan Review Manager will oversee the entire loan review function for the bank, ensuring the quality and compliance of the bank's loan portfolio. This role involves leading the loan review team, conducting thorough loan assessments, and providing strategic recommendations to enhance the bank's lending practices and mitigate risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the loan review department, ensuring the efficient and effective performance of loan review activities.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of the bank's loan portfolio to assess credit quality, compliance with lending policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks within the loan portfolio, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Develop and implement loan review procedures and policies to maintain high standards of loan quality and compliance.
- Prepare detailed loan review reports and present findings to executive management and the board of directors.
- Stay current with industry regulations, market trends, and best practices in loan review and risk management.
- Collaborate with other departments, including credit, lending, and compliance, to ensure a cohesive approach to risk management.
- Provide training and guidance to loan review staff, fostering professional development and ensuring team proficiency.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of loan review documentation and databases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in loan review, credit analysis, or a related field within the banking industry.
- Strong understanding of lending practices, credit risk assessment, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in loan review software and other relevant banking applications.
