Responsibilities

  • Originate and close mortgage loans in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate loan applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process.
  • Analyze financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine loan feasibility.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market changes.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and team members to expedite loan approvals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and adhere to data protection regulations.
  • Meet sales targets and contribute to the department's success.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior loan officers.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns or issues professionally.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in loan processing and knowledge of TILA regulations.
  • Experience as a loan officer with expertise in FNMA, underwriting, loan origination, and mortgage servicing.
  • Familiarity with financial services, fair housing regulations, and credit analysis.
  • Proficiency in contracts, banking procedures, basic math, and escrow.
  • Ability to type accurately using 10-key.
  • Solid understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Certification or successful completion of the NMLS Safe Test.
