LOADS ENGINEER-REMOTE

We at The Structures Company have an opportunity for you as a Loads Engineer.

Requirements:

• Must have minimum 10+ years of experience with B.S. in engineering
• Specialist or high-level Sr. Engineer
• Must have experience in static and dynamic loads, as well as some understanding of aeroelasticity
• This is not an aeroelasticity role but this person will to some degree fill in the gaps between loads team and aeroelasticity team where they intersect.
• Working knowledge of aircraft and spacecraft systems
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and ability to apply engineering judgment on how those regulations and best practices would apply to our vehicles
• Must be strong in MATLAB and Python
• Experience with CATIA V5, NASTRAN, and FEMAP
• Ability and willingness to mentor.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent proactive communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Test planning experience including flight and ground testing, writing test plans, instrumentation selection and planning, and data verification
• Experience with full aircraft analysis – transonic required, launch vehicle & supersonic
• Test execution experience including familiarity with standard flight test practices and safety processes
