Stalker – an innovative 90-minute magic show by Swedish duo Peter Brynolf and Jonas Ljung and directed by Eurovision mastermind Edward Af Sillén – is premiering Off-Broadway this spring at New World Stages. Fast-paced street magic, physical mentalism, and social hacking combine with live cameras and audience participation to lead to a climactic plot twist that you’ll never see coming.
Making use of 6 live cameras (4 mounted, 2 manually operated) the Production is seeking Camera Operators to join the run crew for the full run (March 11 - September 1st). As Camera Operator, your responsibilities will center around skillfully capturing dynamic visuals and contributing to the overall visual storytelling process of the production. Working closely with our Magician Duo, you’ll play a crucial part in the success of close up magic, capturing audience reactions and highlighting specific moments throughout the production.
Your role involves meticulous equipment selection, assembly and setup, ensuring that technical elements align seamlessly with the creative vision of the production. If you demonstrate a deep understanding of both the technical and creative facets of camera operation, possess a keen eye for detail and have a deep passion for maintaining the highest standards in theatrical production, we encourage you to apply.

Salary
$1225.00 per week for up to 40 hours of work, inclusive of Tech, Show Calls and Performances, and continuity rehearsals
Overtime: Additional 1/40th per hour for any and all hours worked over 40 per week

General Responsibilities
- Previous experience as a Camera Operator in television, film, commercials or related visual media
- Familiarity with different camera types, such as single and multiple portable cameras, remote-control and electronic cameras
- Quick response to directions and the ability to make real-time adjustments during a shoot
- A keen eye for framing shots and capturing action in a visually compelling manner
- Effective communication skills to liaise with lighting and technical staff
- Collaborative approach when working with other camera operators and assistants
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find solutions on the spot
- Meticulous attention to detail for achieving the desired composition and visual storytelling
