Litigation Associate

Job Description

Whitemore James Black is presently assisting the Berkeley office of a strong national plaintiff's firm on their search for a Litigation Associate. The target base salary for this role is up to $180K, DOE. A full benefits package and discretionary bonus is also available for this role.

The Berkeley office presently has 10 attorneys, though the firm has over 100 attorneys nationwide. The firm is well-respected in the field, having succeeded in recovering over $300 billion for their clients. The firm is passionate about their work and the pursuit of justice for their clients.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of litigation associate experience. The Litigation Associate will primarily focus on securities and antitrust class actions. As a Litigation Associate, you will be repsonsible for:

• Vetting possible new cases for the firm
• Reviewing and summarizing key details from available evidence
• Legal and Regulatory research
• Drafting written discovery, conducting meet and confers, and preparing for and conducting depositions
• Legal writing
• Hearing and Trial preparation
• Preparing witnesses for deposition and trial
