About The Role

Under the general direction of the Line Service Manager and with minimal supervision, the Line Service Technician is responsible for servicing both Lyon aircraft and transient aircraft that operate in and out of Pittsfield, MA. Additionally, the Line Service Technician is responsible for performing custodial duties including but not limited to, aircraft detailing along with hangar and grounds upkeep.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for people assigned this position.

  • Marshalling, parking and fueling of all aircraft.
  • Supporting aircraft on ramp with group support equipment (i.e. GPU, AC cart, lav service, de-icing).
  • Clean and maintain all Lyon aircraft and managed aircraft inside and out. This includes exterior wiped down and polished, interior detailing, bright work, and keeping inventory of linens and assist with aircraft cabin preparation.
  • Clean customer aircraft as directed.
  • Towing aircraft to general parking areas and hangar storage areas.
  • Customer service for all transient aircraft, including but not limited to general sales, driving rental vehicles on the ramp and assisting with baggage.
  • Perform and maintain fuel farm records including various sample tests along with equipment and storage facility inspections.
  • Maintain all Lyon buildings including custodial servicing of offices, bathroom, hangar floors, and light maintenance upkeep. Additionally, assist maintenance department in facilitating a clean and safe environment during and after aircraft inspections.
  • Assist aircraft maintenance department with cumbersome tasks as directed. This may include turning screws, lifting engine cowls, aircraft panels and fairing.
  • Routing inspection of buildings for safety compliance (i.e. fire extinguishers, first aid kits, eyewash stations).
  • Provide early and/or late operations for aircraft arriving before and/or after schedule hours of operation.
  • Service all company equipment including tugs, fuel trucks, GPU carts, snow blowers, lawn mowers, and 4 wheelers.
  • Maintain all leased grounds which includes snow removal and lawn care.
