LINE PRODUCER

TBN has a unique opportunity for a highly-skilled, experienced individual to join our team in the launch and continuing operation of a new daily live program focused on offering perspectives on daily events, which will be anchored from our new studios in Fort Worth, Texas.

We are looking for a proactive and organized Line Producer with strong control room skills and great editorial judgment to join our team. The individual who lands this position must have a love for this work, be very passionate about the content, and have the ability to rally people together to accomplish amazing things. This will be a challenging job. Work will be performed in a fast-paced environment for TBN’s new daily current events live production and additional programs or events, as assigned.

Line Producer (Full-time)

Job Summary

Responsible for the daily content creation and execution (including show formats, scripts, research, and other duties as assigned by Senior Producer related to daily show preparation) necessary to successfully produce and deliver the daily live show for the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), initially from our Irving, TX based studios and then from our new studios in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Line Producer is the glue for the daily live show team and is the chief communicator who effectively assigns the tasks and activities necessary to successfully produce the program each day. As a Line Producer, you can craft great daily LIVE shows quickly but know when and how to throw out a rundown to adapt to breaking news. You must excel in a dynamic environment under deadline pressure

Duties And Tasks
  • Coordinates all aspects of each daily live episode
  • Assigns segment leaders, scripting, research, editing, graphics, and other needs
  • Writes, reviews and edits, and/or assigns scripts for the program to fit the “voice” of the host
  • Take part in editorial planning
  • Help book guest segments/studios.
  • Communicate needs effectively with Associate Producers, Guest Coordinator, and Production Associates
  • Reviews and approves all scripts prior to prompter rehearsal on day of show
  • Coordinates with director and editors to manage the day-to-day pre-production needs of the program ensuring that elements are ready well in advance of showtime
  • In cooperation with the Senior Producer-develops and maintains daily timetables and workflows for the entire producing and production team
  • Works closely with director and production office to ensure that all departments (Control room, audio, lighting, set, facilities) are properly informed regarding guests and visuals needed so Production can provide appropriate oversight to meet show day deadlines, including communication/all information re: early segment taping/inbounds, etc.
  • Works closely with production team, on-set hosts, and guests to ensure smooth flow during show production
  • Works on the news sets or in the control room, in conjunction with the on-set managers, along with the director and show senior producer, during the recording to ensure that the host and guests are prepared for all planned segments
  • Involved in management of the weekly and annual show budget and expenditures.
  • Post-show responsibilities include oversight of branded promos and support for specific online Daily show features

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Flexibility to alter shifts/days off and work overtime to accommodate projects and departmental objectives.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to perform tasks under tight deadlines, work independently and participate in simultaneous projects.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills are a necessity.
  • Organizational, efficiency, and planning skills are required.
  • Ability to work as a part of a team dynamic.
  • Must be willing and able to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  • Candidates must have good computer background (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc...) and strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient knowledge of all TV Production equipment and technology within assigned operating areas
  • Experience in a complex live production control room environment.
  • Familiarity with Production Control Room automation systems.
  • Production coordination and management skills
Required Education –
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical School degree in communications, electronics, television production, or related field.
