Line Cook - Seva Kitchen & Bar

Position: Cook - Seva Kitchen & Bar at voco the Cadence, an IHG Hotel

Location: Niagara Falls, New York

Employment Type: Full Time, Hourly (Hospitality / Restaurant)

Compensation: $18 to $20 per hour, paid weekly

Job Summary:

Voco the Cadence is seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our team at Seva Kitchen & Bar. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes and ensuring that our guests receive high-quality meals that meet their satisfaction. You must be efficient, organized, and have a strong passion for cooking and creating delicious dishes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency and quality of dishes
• Prepare ingredients and ensure that all food items are stored and rotated properly
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area at all times
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
• Operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, grills, and fryers
• Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed
• Communicate closely with servers and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate service
• Follow all company and safety policies and procedures
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cook or similar role in a high-volume restaurant
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Diploma from a culinary school or equivalent experience is preferred
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
